Los Glaciares National Park, Argentina-1900508.tif

Cerro Torre has the reputation as being one of the toughest alpine climbs in the world. As if the vertical wall doesn't create enough of a challenge, the violent weather is a legendary obstacle. It's a rare morning indeed to see the mountain so clear and with such pleasant light. As I stood and watched the day begin I had a thought held by many climbers; I was grateful the light had touched Cerro Torre.
